Being a multi-passionate entrepreneur is not a bad thing and finding focus doesn’t have to be hard.

Today’s special guest, Claudia Comtois, shares with us how she manages her life as a millennial entrepreneur. From getting unstuck after a setback, to finding focus and clarity – this episode is jampacked with so many actionable tips. Make sure you have a pen and paper handy for this one. Enjoy!

Key Takeaways and Discussion

1 - The Difficulty in Selling Things You Don't Believe In

Claudia touches on how difficult it is to sell things that you don’t believe in. And she is so right. When you try and sell something that isn’t in alignment with who you are, it’s 100 times harder. Your vibration will be off and you’ll struggle to meet your goals. This is what many people think of when they think of sales. But this does not have to be the case!

I feel like everybody that I sell to is thanking me for selling to them.

This is how Claudia talks about what she does, and I love it. When you’re selling something you believe in, it doesn’t have to be hard. You’ll start to attract your ideal clients, the selling won’t feel like selling, and your business will take off. Here’s the key: lead with value. The customers and clients you attract will be the people who actually want what you’re selling.

2 - Getting Unstuck in Your 20s

Claudia shares her experience with feeling stuck after being fired from the job she had for the last four years.  And I think her story is one that many of us can relate to. I know I do. The years of critizism can take a toll on your self-esteem. Getting unstuck means mastering your mindset. Here’s are our tips:

  • Spend time in Self-Development
  •  Get a Support System ( Online, Social media, meet-ups, masterminds, etc.)
  • Make Self-care a non-negotiable
  • Create a morning routine
  • meditate (even just 10 min. can change your life)
  • Invest in your Knowledge ( i.e Audiobooks, Podcasts, Courses, etc. )

3 - Creating a Healthy Work-Life Balance

I absolutely believe that a perfect work-life balance is possible. Some people want to argue that it’s a myth, or impossible, or whatever. I disagree. The reason why people don’t believe in a work-life balance is because they have not defined what a healthy work-life balance is.

It’s all in the mindset.

Your personal life, goals, values, and beliefs will determine what a “good” work-life balance is. But until you sit down and truly define what that is for yourself, you’ll forever be chasing an undefined solution.

4 - focus on these two things to get unstuck

When you’re multi-passionate, it’s easy to get stuck. So many ideas, so much content, so little time. If there’s one thing people can agree on it’s that you need to focus on one idea at a time

"What you focus on grows." Even if you're multi-passionate, you still need to choose one thing that you should set your focus on"

Claudia Comtois

In other words, if you spread your energy too thin across all your projects, little will get done. At this rate, all your projects grow very slowly.

The second half of the focus equation is what less people are talking about. You need to focus on what is keeping you stuck.

Understanding what is holding you back is key to overcoming it. This is when self-reflection comes in handy. Claudia shared her morning routine that included yoga, mediation, dream interpretation, and writing her goals down

Once you understand what’s holding you back, you can find better, more direct resources that will best help you.
